Founded in 2015 by bartenders Alex Ruas and Sam Millin, Behind Bars has grown from a consultancy into a design and manufacturing brand focused on creating bespoke bar stations shaped around bartender needs and guest experience. From its headquarters in Oslo and with a team across five countries, the brand has delivered more than 450 projects in over 48 countries, working with leading cocktail bars, Michelin-recognized restaurants and hospitality groups. Its human-centered approach is informed by close work with best-in-class venues and emerging talents, prioritizing flow, comfort and systems that elevate hospitality while continuing to advocate for bartender involvement and explore new technologies that move bar design forward.

Opened on New Year's Eve 2006/07 in Manhattan's East Village, Death & Co quickly became a cocktail institution, owed greatly to their staff of creative bartenders and incredible servers. Since then, they have evolved and changed; from an intimate bar in NYC to a sprawling cocktail lounge and restaurant in Denver.
